We have always heard and read that removing makeup before going to bed is number one golden makeup rule to follow if you want to avoid skin irritation or any other problems you may face. First it’s really uncomfortable to sleep in makeup, as you stain your pillow covers and then wake up with a smudged and tired look that you want to immediately get rid of. However, on certain occasions, when you have important meetings early in the morning and can’t go to the salon in the morning, you may consider getting your makeup done in the evening and sleeping in makeup to be ready for the meeting next morning. But how should you do this?
As Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic reveals, it’s quite ok to sleep in makeup as long as you follow his tips. As he explains, many of his clients, including Kim Kardashian, work for more than 18 hours a day, which means they should look their best throughout the day, while they sometimes, or better to say quite often have to sleep in makeup. This is something every one out of four women usually do, and while the damage to the skin and eyes may be huge, you can lessen it, if you follow Mario’s makeup tips.
Dedivanovic advises to use a loose powder to set your makeup and maintain its fresh look for as long as possible, while he also says you should be ready to touch up a little in the morning as you wake up as well. Tatcha’s Dewy Skin Mist is his go-to product for when it comes to instantly revitalizing your makeup look of the previous day in the morning. He also uses a beauty blender to give back the right amount of moisture to the skin and to even out any tiny flaws.
If you follow Dedivanovic’s tips you can go to bed with your makeup on from time to time, surely only when it’s really necessary, feeling fresh and ready to go in the morning. However, do consider taking your makeup off on a daily basis, as you normally have been doing it, using a good makeup remover or natural products, such as coconut oil, which is the favorite product of many celebrities, who manage to keep their skin youthful and glowing even in their forties. This will help to prevent your skin from breaking out, and will make you feel fresh-faced and radiant in the morning.
If you follow Dedivanovic’s makeup tips and do it like Kim Kardashian, do share your experiences with us and other readers, as we want to know how it worked for you!
