London Fashion Week Vows To Be Fur Free

Next week at London Fashion Week designers will be showing their latest spring/summer 2018 collections. Following a survey from designers, the British Fashion Council has confirmed no animal fur will be used.

The BFC released a statement, “The survey results reflect a cultural change based on ideals and choices made by designer businesses, international brands as well as consumer sentiment – but also encouraged by the stance of multi-brand stores who are moving away from selling fur.”

One British designer, Victoria Beckham, celebrates her brand’s 10th anniversary with her first appearance in London Fashion Week. Beckham had previously promised her collections wouldn’t use any animal fur at all.

The BFC stated, the fur free fashion week reflects “a cultural change based on ideals and choices made by designer businesses, international brands as well as consumer sentiment.”
